Constructability Reviews

·       Designs are most effective when they are reviewed and scrutinized by experienced builders.  Stevenson Engineering can provide the foresight needed to identify conflicts and constructability challenges, and resolve them before they impact the project schedule and cost.  

CPM Schedule Production and Review

·       As important as the cost estimate is the schedule for delivery of the project.  The schedule is of the utmost importance to all stakeholders.  Stevenson Engineering will provide for any project a realistic schedule that aligns with both the cost estimate as well as the interests of all relevant stakeholders.  

Architect and Engineer Selection and Management

·       Selecting the right engineer and architect for the project can be the difference between success and failure.  Appropriately managing the engineer and architect is equally important.  At Stevenson Engineering LLC, we speak the language and can provide the guidance and decision-making expertise to keep these early stage teams on schedule and within budget.

Contractor Selection and Management

·       Similar to selecting the engineer and the architect, the contractors can be your greatest allies, or a source of stress.  Selecting the right contractor, and managing that relationship through a properly structured contract is vital to both the success of the project, the contractor, and the owner.  

Risk Assessments

·       Identifying risks early and implementing a tiered mitigation strategies to address those risks is an excellent way to increase the probability of a successful project or program.  Stevenson Engineering highly encourages capital allocators to perform thorough risk assessments in the company of subject matter experts, and use the knowledge gathered from this process to inform the schedule and contract models used during project development.

Construction Management

·       Stevenson Engineering has a wide range of construction management experience.  While no project is without it's surprises, Lucas Stevenson has operated as a contractor in varying industries and geographies and is adept at preparing for and reacting appropriately to the unexpected.  

Temporary Structures Consultation, Design, and Inspection

·       From formwork and falsework to custom steel reinforcing jigs, Stevenson Engineering has the knowledge and experience to design and inspect your temporary structures.  A thoughtful design can prevent you and your contractor from overspending on labor and materials and can generate float in the schedule if properly conceived.   

Critical Lift Planning and Review

·       OSHA describes a critical lift as any lift in excess of 75% of the rated capacity of the machine performing the lift.  These lifts require additional scrutiny in both planning and executing the lift, and rightfully so.  Critical lifts involve risks to the crew, the plant, and the project and deserve the attention of highly qualified individuals.  In addition to developing the plan and reviewing plans produced by others, Stevenson Engineering is capable of acting as the competent person for certain critical lifts.  

Site Hazard Analysis

·       A third-party review of your job site can be tremendously valuable to your team.  We believe that propagating best practices and new ideas across industries and organizations is a highly efficient way to make the process of building safer for all involved.  Safety is and always will be the number one priority at Stevenson Engineering LLC.  

Change Impact Analysis

·       Identifying changes early is important.  Identifying the impacts of those changes is critical.  Stevenson Engineering LLC is experienced in assessing the impact of unforeseen conditions and events, quantifying those impacts, and performing thorough time impact analysis.
